Mushroom

July 10, 2008

I was lucky enough to see Li Edelkoort’s presentation on Autumn and Winter 09-10 trends, and of course ate every word of up. Sitting in the auditorium listening to the music and watching her slideshow is absolutely enchanting. It’s a transcendental, magical, cathartic experience. Li found inspiration in mushrooms and predicts that fashion will attempt to emulate the form and volume of mushrooms. Being the research fanatic that I am, I immediately started google-imaging mushroom, mushroom?, mushrooms and found the most beautiful, stunning, and surprising photos. I hope you enjoy this trip through the woods. (All images are from AmericanMushrooms.com.)

You’re so right! Mushrooms have been ALL OVER the crafty blogs in the last couple of months! Everyone’s making mushroom shaped pin cushions.
